Botswana Taxa De Inflação

Botswana’s annual inflation rate rose to 2% in June 2025, from a five-month low of 1.9% in May and halting a two-month period of deceleration. Notable price increases were seen for miscellaneous goods & services (7.8%, the same rate as in May); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (6.6% vs 6.4%) and food & non-alcoholic beverages (5.4% vs 5.8%). On the other hand, prices declined for transportation (-1.7% vs -2.2%) and housing & utilities (-0.1% vs -0.3%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up by 0.2%, after a 0.1% decrease in the prior month.
