Costa Rica Taxa de Desemprego

The unemployment rate in Costa Rica rose to 7.5% in the first quarter of 2025, up from 6.9% in the previous period. The number of unemployed people increased slightly by 13.99 thousand, reaching 178,000. Meanwhile, the employment rate fell from 52.8% to 52.2%, with the number of employed people decreasing by about 20 thousand, totaling 2.21 million. The labor force participation rate also fell from 56.7% to 56.4%.
