Croatia’s trade deficit remained relatively stable in March 2025 compared to the same month last year, standing at EUR 1.7 billion, according to preliminary data. Considering January to March, the country’s trade deficit rose slightly to EUR 4.6 billion from EUR 4.3 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year. Exports grew 8.6% year-on-year to EUR 6.1 billion, driven by higher sales to non-EU member states (9.8%) and the EU (8%). Meanwhile, imports rose 7.6% to EUR 10.7 billion, amid increased purchases from non-EU member states (28.5%) and the EU (2.5%).
