Croatia’s trade deficit widened to EUR 2.0 billion in July 2025 from EUR 1.5 billion in the corresponding month of last year, according to preliminary data. Exports grew by 3.9% to EUR 2.201 billion, while imports increased by 3.1% to EUR 4.194 billion. For the January-June period, the trade gap widened to EUR 11.7 billion, compared to EUR 11.4 billion during the same period in 2024. Exports rose by 3.9% to EUR 14.5 billion, supported by stronger demand from both EU countries (4.6%) and non-EU countries (2.4%). Imports grew by 3.1% to EUR 26.2 billion, driven by a rise in purchases from both EU countries (0.3%) and non-EU countries (13.9%).
