Estonia's trade deficit narrowed to EUR 166 million in November 2024, down from EUR 219 million in the same month of the previous year, marking the smallest trade gap since February 2023. Exports rose 3% year-on-year to EUR 1,571 million, driven by higher sales to EU countries (+6%) despite a decline to non-EU countries (-4%). Notable increases were recorded in agricultural products and food preparations (+15%) and transport equipment (+10%). Meanwhile, imports remained unchanged at EUR 1,737 million, as increased purchases from non-EU countries (+5%) offset a decline from EU countries (-1%) Arrivals of mineral products fell sharply (-34%), while those of transport equipment rose significantly (+31%). From January to November, the trade deficit widened to EUR 2,808 million, compared to EUR 2,704 million in the same period last year.
