Consumer prices in Finland fell 0.1% year-on-year in November 2025, easing slightly from a 0.2% drop in the previous month. This marked the second consecutive month of decline in consumer prices, albeit at a softer pace, driven by a slower fall in prices for housing and utilities (-2.4% vs -3.0% in October), transportation (-0.3% vs -0.9%), and miscellaneous goods and services (-2.4% vs -2.6%). At the same time, costs tumbled for furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.1% vs 0.7%), while inflation moderated for alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics (2.3% vs 2.7%), communication (3.6% vs 4.4%), and recreation and culture (1.1% vs 2.3%). In contrast, prices continued to increase for food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.7% vs 1.6%), health (5.6% vs 5.5%), and restaurants and hotels (2.0% vs 1.5%), while education costs remained steady (2.8%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.2% in November, matching the pace recorded in the previous month.
