Hungary’s trade surplus narrowed sharply to EUR 819 million in November 2024, from EUR 1,457 million in the same month last year, but above preliminary estimates of EUR 742 million. Exports dropped by 3.0% year-on-year to EUR 12,645 million while imports declined at a softer 2.1% to EUR 11,826 million. The share of EU member states was 77% in exports and 72% in imports. Considering the January to November period, the country posted a trade surplus of EUR 11,187 million.
