Japan Industrial Production Mom

Japan's industrial production increased by 0.3% month-over-month in December 2024, aligning with market forecasts and reversing a 2.2% decline in the previous month, a preliminary reading showed. Industries that mainly contributed to the rise were production machinery (2.9% vs -9.1% in November), electronic parts and devices (2.1% vs -2.2%), and inorganic and organic chemicals (1.4% vs -1.2%). Yearly, industrial production declined by 1.1%, slowing from a 2.7% fall in November while marking the second straight month of drop.
