Norway's consumer confidence indicator rose to -7.5 in the first quarter of 2025, up from an upwardly revised -12.4 in the previous quarter. While this marked the twelfth consecutive quarter of negative sentiment, it represented the smallest decline in the sequence. Consumers turned optimistic about the country's economy next year (5.1 vs -1.4 in Q4) and were notably less pessimistic about the past year (-35.2 vs -50.5). Households also showed increased confidence in their financial situation for the coming year (21.5 vs 15.7). Additionally, consumers found the time for making large purchases less unfavorable (-14.5 vs -33).
