Peru Taxa De Inflação

The annual inflation rate in Peru’s capital, Lima, accelerated to 1.51% in December 2025, up from 1.37% in the previous month. It marked the highest inflation rate since July and remained within the central bank's target range of 1% to 3%. The acceleration in inflation was mainly driven by faster increases in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.68% vs 0.41% in November), the highest in five months, while transportation prices rose more sharply (1.05% vs 0.18%). By contrast, housing and utilities prices fell at a faster rate (-2.34% vs -0.37%). On a monthly basis, the CPI in Lima rose 0.24% in December, after a 0.11% increase in November, marking the fastest pace in eight months.
