Senegal Taxa De Inflação

Consumer prices in Senegal fell 0.2% year-on-year in March 2025, following a 0.6% increase in the previous month. This marks the first decline in four periods, mainly driven by lower prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.9%) and information and communication goods and services (-8.1%). These declines were partially offset by price increases in other categories, particularly restaurants and accommodation services (+1.6%), furniture, household equipment, and routine maintenance (+1.7%), housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels (+0.9%), and transport (+1.0%). Excluding energy and fresh products, the core index rose by 2.1% year-on-year. On a monthly basis, the CPI fell 0.5%, after a 0.6% decline in February.
