The Singapore PMI is a key barometer of a manufacturing sector in Singapore. A reading above 50 indicates that the factory activity is generally expanding and below 50 that the activity is generally declining.
Latest Updates
The Singapore Manufacturing PMI posted 50.9 in January 2025, compared to December's 51.1, signaling the 17th consecutive month of expansion, albeit the weakest in three months, due to the Lunar New Year holidays. Slower increases were recorded in new orders, new exports, factory output and employment. The PMI for electronics, which accounts for about a third of the city-state's manufacturing activity, declined to 51.1 in January from 51.4 in December, but still expanded for the 15th straight month.
