The Singapore Manufacturing PMI fell to 49.6 in April 2025 from 50.6 in March, its first contraction after 19 months of growth due to US tariffs that led to widespread export-order cancellations. The electronics PMI, covering 40% of output, also shrank for the first time in 17 months.
