The industrial confidence indicator in Slovakia edged down by 1 point month-over-month to -2 in February 2025, from -1 in the previous month. The decline was mainly due to the drop in expected production for the next three months (13 vs 17 in January), particularly in the manufacture of wood, paper, printing and reproduction, transport equipment, and other non-metallic mineral products. Moreover, decreases were observed in the current level of orders (-15 vs -14) and stocks of finished goods (4 vs 7). Lastly, prospects for selling prices weakened (14 vs 17), while export orders books were less negative (-14 vs -15).
