Taiwan Unemployment Rate

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Taiwan edged down to 3.39% in December 2024 from 3.41% in the previous month. The number of unemployed persons fell by 4 thousand from a month earlier to 399 thousand in December, while employment increased by 6 thousand to 11.612 million. In the meantime, the youth unemployment rate, measuring job-seekers between 20 to 24 years old, fell to 11.23% in December, the lowest since May 2008, down from 11.30% in the prior period. The labor force participation rate ticked higher to 59.30% from 59.29% in November.
