Reino Unido Monthly GDP MoM

The British economy expanded 0.4% month-over-month in December 2024, the biggest growth in nine months, following a 0.1% rise in November and well above forecasts of 0.1%. The expansion was largely driven by a 0.4% gain in the services sector, mostly professional, scientific and technical activities (1.2%), namely advertising and market research industry; administrative and support service activities (1.1%), namely travel agency, tour operator and other reservation service and related activities (3.3%). Also, production rose 0.5%, led by a 0.7% growth in manufacturing, mostly pharmaceutical products and preparations (5.1%), and manufacture of machinery and equipment (5.9%); and a 1.5% growth in mining and quarrying. These growths were partially offset by a fall of 0.6% in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and a 0.4% fall in water supply; sewerage, waste management. Also, construction declined 0.2% and computer programming, publishing and car sales were also down.
