Crude oil inventories in the US rose by 0.515 million barrels in the week ended April 11, 2025, above market expectations of a 0.4 million build, data from the EIA Petroleum Status Report showed. On the other hand, crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub decreased by 654 thousand barrels, after a 681 thousand rise. Also, gasoline stocks fell by 1.958 million, compared with forecasts of a 1.6 million draw. Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, went down by 1.851 million barrels, versus consensus of a 1.2 million decrease.
